Advertising Community for Responsible Communication

Act_1

Wow, definitely an inspiring site with creative 'responsible advertising' from around the globe: ACT Responsible. ACT - Advertising Community Together is a non-profit initiative, that shows how advertising professionals from all continents can use their core talent - creativity - to play a significant role in addressing today’s crucial world issues.

ACT promotes this work to a worldwide public through a showcase accessible to all on its website, a worldwide touring exhibition shown at public and professional events, conferences and debates within the communication industry:

  • Online Gallery: A beautiful online gallery with 580 ads for non-profit campaigns all over the world. I've been trying to pick a few outstanding, but really couldn't decide which one...
  • Exhibitions: ACT organizes each year a worldwide tour of the collections. Exhibitions have already been shown in Paris, Cannes (see e.g. Marketingfacts), London, Brussels, Barcelona, Warsaw, New York, Seattle, Santiago de Chile, Milan, Seoul and Beijing.
  • Conferences: Launched in 2003 during Paris’ advertising week, the conferences foster discussion about ethics and values through debates between all parties concerned and the general public.
  • Media: partnerships increase awareness and drive changes in professional and public behavior.

On the website you also submit your own work or contribute to ACT otherwise, e.g. by becoming a sponsor or joining the community.

The ACT initiative was launched after 9/11 by AdForum’s employees, using the global reach of the website to gather the talent of the global advertising community. (via)

This campaign is very touchy.

Yeah, it's in inspiring initiative isn't it?
By the way, I really like your site! I added it to the non-profit links.
